OUR VISION

We exist to create a world in which children are empowered, protected, and given opportunities to live to their fullest potentials.

OUR MISSION

We are tackling illiteracy, early marriage, and poverty affecting the underpriviledged in Ugandan rural communities.

OUR VALUES

1. Integrity | 2. Compassion | 3. Empowerment | 4. Stewardship | 5. Respect

Edu Child Foundation International Inc. (ECFI Inc.) is a 501c3 registered charitable organization based in Minnesota (USA) with a strategic vision of creating a world in which children are empowered, protected, and given opportunities to live to their fullest potentials.

ECFI Inc. was established in December 2021 in partnership with Edu Child Foundation Uganda (ECFUG – www.ecfug.org); as a fundraising arm to help in the mobilization of resources needed for implementation of all program activities of ECFUG in the Rural communities of Nebbi District where the nonprofit operates. Consequently, 100% of all donations received after associated processing fees are given to Edu Child Foundation Uganda..

As a charitable organization, we are working towards empowering underprivileged rural children, women, and youth in Uganda through education sponsorship, economic empowerment, advocacy, and healthcare support in fighting poverty, illiteracy, diseases, among other global challenges affecting  Ugandan rural communities

We are committed to being builders of hope, touching the lives of those we serve with unconditional love while empowering them through education, character development training, and other practical initiatives to become people of significance in societies, who are self-reliant and are empowered to discover and do exploits with their unveiled potentials.

Our Current Program Areas Include:

Educate A Child

Most of us in the developed world are not aware that poor families must spend 33% or more of their total household income in school fees and other education expenses. Fortunately, of all the barriers to education, school fees may be the easiest to resolve, at least when viewed from the perspective of a single child. Education sponsorship for underprivileged rural children assures them of a possible brighter future.

Promotion of STEM education

In an increasingly globalized, tech-focused world, the need for STEM education is profound. But it is in world’s rural communities that the need is most acute. STEM learning in rural world has the power to restore and revitalize failing communities. It has the power to open up a world of opportunity to people and places too long denied access to it. And it has the power to give voice to the voiceless, to bring our forgotten villages, towns and communities to the attention of the whole wide world.

The Girl Arise Program

Did you know that 50% of girls in Africa are sexually enslaved, out of school, and grossly enslaved by poverty, HIV and AIDS, and violence? 25 percent of Ugandan teenagers become pregnant by the age of 19. Close to half are married before their 18th birthday. And across Africa, girls still face huge challenges with getting a quality education with over 9.5 million girls within sub-Saharan Africa unable to acquire formal classroom education

There are many barriers to education in Sub-Saharan Africa: not enough schools, not enough teachers, not enough resources. These are macro problems that concern governments, the World Bank, and the UN. On the ground, however, at the level of families trying to make decisions about the education of their children, there is generally one overriding barrier: COST. Most of us in the developed world are not aware that poor families must spend 33% or more of their total household income on school fees and other education expenses. Fortunately, of all the barriers to education, school fees may be the easiest to resolve, at least when viewed from the perspective of a single child. ECFI Inc. is dedicated to resolving the school fees crisis, one donor and one child at a time.
