Foska K.

My name is Foska and I am 16 years old now. I am one of the pioneer children that Edu Child Foundation Uganda started sponsoring in 2014. I enjoy playing netball with my friends for fun.  This year, I joined high school and it was so unbelievable. Most of my sisters were married off by the age of 16. I am the first child in my family to have gotten an opportunity to join a secondary school (high school). For a village girl like me, my dream to help build my community most especially, help give chance to as many girls as possible to acquire formal education seemed unattainable because of the extreme poverty around me. I am very thankful to Edu Child Foundation Uganda for restoring my hope for a better future by putting me back in a good school where I may reach my dream of becoming a social worker.
